Hope you all have been enjoying the slightly cooler weather!

For Students with disabilities, Beth Schill, an advisor at the Career Center, is hosting appointments to discuss navigating careers as a person with a disability. You can make an appointment to see her here (new window). 

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about application timelines for internships in different sectors. I’ve added a Gantt chart below which shows the various stages for finance (grey) and consulting (blue) internship and job applications with the general timing of each. 

For Sophomores, note that most applications for the Finance sector that will be coming out this January and that are due at various times this Spring 2022 are for full-time internships in Summer 2023 (the summer before your Senior year). This gives you the opportunity to explore other sectors or interests during Summer 2022 (see Handshake for position-specific deadlines) and then do a financial sector internship in Summer 2023–though the applications for both will all be due during this school year.

To add further complexity, a few financial firms are offering Summer 2022 internships for Sophomores in order to fill-out their summer intern cadre (see Internships section below).
