We hope that you are having a wonderful break. As the spring semester begins to gear up, many students start to think about the spring internship and summer job search. We are here to help!

Updated Drop-In Hours
We have updated our drop-in hours to accommodate students in multiple time zones. All drop-ins still take place via zoom (new window) and our new hours are:

  • Mornings: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m, Tuesdays – Fridays
  • Afternoons: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Mondays – Fridays
  • Evenings: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Mondays – Thursdays

Drop-ins 15-minute visits in which you can have your resume or cover letter reviewed, learn how to get started in working with the career center, or just ask that quick career question that is on your mind. Stop by and say hi!

Looking to Give Back? Become a Student Industry Ambassador!

Student Industry Ambassadors are juniors and seniors who assist fellow undergraduate students with their career search. This includes helping peers with the job/internship application process, networking, and the identification of resources specific to the advisee’s experiential journey. If selected, Industry Ambassadors would be required to complete virtual onboarding and accept five or more Hoya Gateway requests from current students per semester.  Deadline for submissions is Friday, January 22.

Lucia Wei He (SFS’15) Earns Schwarzman Scholarship

Journalist Lucia Wei He describes herself as “a product of the crossroads between Argentina and China.” Raised in Mar del Plata, Argentina by her Chinese parents, the Georgetown alumna’s upbringing led to a deep fascination with China-Latin America relations. Virtual Drop-Ins:
New drop-in hours for spring semester!
Drop-ins will now be available (new window) from 9-10AM Tuesday through Friday, 1-2PM Monday through Friday, and 7-8PM Monday through Thursday every week. 

Appointments: Virtual appointments are available via Handshake (new window). Sign up under ‘Career Center,’ then ‘Appointments’, then ‘Industry Advising,” then ‘Government, Nonprofit, and Education’.
