September 6, 2021 – Upcoming Events, Opportunities & Resources

Dear Hoyas,

Long weekends are a great time to get a jump on things, including recruiting. With that in mind, here are three things you can do this weekend to make your job search easier:

1. Register for Virtual Consulting Niche Night. (new window) Thursday, September 9, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Handshake. The Consulting Niche Night is exclusively for juniors and seniors looking for consulting positions in firms that maybe aren’t quite as big as your McKinsey or Deloitte (although EY will be there). These firms typically just focus on one industry such as economic consulting, health care consulting or tech consulting. Find your niche today!
*Keep in mind that virtual fairs work a bit differently from in-person fairs; once you register for the fair you THEN have to reserve your time with each employer you want to meet with.

2. Map Out Your Recruiting Strategy. Treat recruiting like a class. Put the classes (information sessions) on your calendar, schedule in time to study (research firms and prep for case interviews), and then move on to the next. Spend no more than 1 hour per day on any sort of recruiting activity and you will still be sane by the end of the process.

3. RSVP For the Case Interviewing Workshop (new window) on Wednesday, September 8, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Our own Peer Career Advisors will guide students through how to think about and tackle the case interview. On Zoom, will be recorded.
And in case you missed him, Jack the Bulldog made an appearance on Healey Lawn today. Enjoy!
