Georgetown University Government & Nonprofit Career EXPO

Spring 2014

Employer registration for the EXPO is open from now until February 14, 2014.

Date: Friday, February 21, 2014
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center Ballroom

Our spring career fair connects students with employers from government and nonprofit employers. Georgetown University’s Career Education Center hosts the Government and Nonprofit Expo in conjunction with the University of Virginia, the University of Richmond, New York University's Wasserman Center for Career Development and the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, the College of William and Mary, and Swarthmore College. The Government and Nonprofit EXPO is only open to students and alumni of these schools. This event is not open to the general public.

EXPO Registration Packages

Nonprofit employers: $200  $300
Government employers: $300  $400
For-profit employers: $500  $700

Packages include:

  • one booth with a table measuring 6-feet-by-18 inches and table linens and two chairs
  • event registration for two employer representatives
  • two buffet breakfasts and two buffet lunches in Georgetown's faculty club
  • your organization's name listed in the EXPO program

Optional add-ons: additional employer representatives ($40 per representative), electricity ($25), wireless Internet access ($25)

We are offering a limited number of EXPO sponsorship opportunities. Becoming a sponsor of the EXPO gives you access to prime booth placement, advertisement placement in the program booklet and online, and space on campus for meeting with students on the day of the fair.

Cancellation Policy

The deadline to request a registration cancellation or refund is 5 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014. Please send your request to Kelly S. Burns at kds57@georgetown.edu and call 202-687-7394. If you do not show up on the day of the EXPO, and your cancellation request was not received by the deadline, you will be responsible for paying the full registration fee. If you fail to pay in full, your organization will not be permitted to register for the next fair.

Employer Attendance

The EXPO Consortium member schools are committed to offering our students a diverse mix of jobs related to the work of government and non-profits. Therefore, selection of EXPO employers is based on current job market conditions and student demands. You will receive a confirmation e-mail once your registration has been approved.

Shipping and Returning Materials

We recommend you ship all materials in advance of EXPO. Boxes may arrive at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center no earlier than three days prior to the event date. If your boxes arrive at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center before this time, they will be returned to sender due to limited storage capacity.

After shipping your packages, please notify Kelly S. Burns at kds57@georgetown.edu with your employer name, the tracking number of your package, contact person, and the number of boxes you shipped.

To ship materials, your package shipping label should read:
