Services Available to Students in Fall 2020

We are committed to both safety and equitable access to opportunities and connections for all students. As such, all Cawley Career Education Center activities will take place in a virtual format this fall. This includes appointments with staff, employer information sessions, interviews, workshops, and drop-in appointments. 

All Students, All-Service through December 2020
All students, regardless of enrollment status, as well as graduates in the Class of 2020, will have full access to the Cawley Career Education Center in fall 2020. This includes full-time students, part-time students, students who take a leave of absence, and members of the Class of 2020.

Detailed Services Regularly Available to Students by Year

First-Year Students

Drop-In Appointments
Come to a 15-minute, virtual drop-in appointment to review your documents, start planning an internship or job search, or discuss Cawley Career Education Center resources. You can access drop-ins via this Zoom link.

  • Summer 202: Virtual drop-ins will be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-to-3 p.m. Eastern Time.
  • Fall 2020: Virtual drop-ins will be available Monday – Friday from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Career Exploration Seminars
Build your career story and strategy in community with students from your class year.  Sign up in your Handshake event calendar.

Industry Exploration
Want to learn more about an industry? Reach out to one of our peer industry ambassadors in Hoya Gateway starting in mid-September. Also, keep an eye on employer events and career fairs in your Handshake event calendar.

Mock Interview Appointments
If you want to practice for an interview, please attend drop-ins (Monday — Friday, 1—3 p.m.) to meet with a staff member or stop by to pick up a hard copy of our interviewing guide.

Every year, we host hundreds of events, including employer presentations, educational seminars and more. Visit your Handshake event calendar see what’s happening. Hoya Saxa! The Cawley Career Education Center provides a number of career development resources and programs to support alumni after they leave the Hilltop.

Additionally, Georgetown’s Alumni Career Services works to provide alumni with lifelong career development and networking opportunities at all stages of career development.
