Greetings Hoyas!
To say that it has been an interesting week news-wise is about the most understated statement one can make. I know many of you are personally impacted by the events going on in our world. The one hopeful thing that I can think of – if that is ok to say – is that I know somewhere on the Hilltop are the future leaders who will no doubt be involved in generating peaceful solutions to our current worldwide & country-wide crises. Seeing all of the activities you are all involved in, the subjects you are studying, and the hopes you have serving others gives me hope for the future.
I also wanted to be sure you all saw the recent section highlighting current cultural awareness months. A great new feature created by my student assistant, Ryann, at least one newsletter every month will include relevant information on various under-represented identities, and most importantly, information on how what career opportunities exist for those who may be interested. Last newsletter we featured Hispanic Heritage Month (scroll to the bottom), today we have a section on LGBTQIA+ Month, and next newsletter will feature the National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).
As always, I am here to help answer questions, and explore how you can get involved in careers that help us all make a difference in our world.
