Arts, media and communication friends, it is your time to shine! We are awash in summer internships.  In this edition of the creative newsletter, I’ve used the jobs and internship section (scroll, scroll) to highlight a SMALL selection of internships out there.  Apart from the usual suspects (Handshake, Indeed, Idealist, LinkedIn, employer websites), you might want to check out the following industry-specific resources as well.  Get to it, Hoyas!
Theatre: Playbill, NYFA Jobs, ArtSearch
Performers: Backstage (short-term opportunities)
Publishing: Bookjobs
Marketing: American Marketing Association (and local chapters, like AMA – DC)
Public Relations: Public Relations Society of America
Entertainment: EntertainmentCareers.net (NOTE! Use this as a resource to find open positions and then apply on the employer website – you will escape the fee that way!)
Journalism: Poynter’s Internship Database, JournalismJobs.com
Museums: American Alliance of Museums (more jobs than internships listed here; check specific employer websites for more information)
Fashion: Business of Fashion
Media and Creative Jobs: MediaBistro
Unfortunately, these industries still have unpaid internships. (I KNOW.)  Check out the Penner Family Experiences Award and Summer Jobs with Residential Living for those of you interning in DC (APP CLOSES TOMORROW).
