First-Year Students
Drop-In Appointments
Come to a 15-minute, drop-in to review your documents, start planning an internship or job search, or discuss Cawley resources. Drop-ins take place Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Cawley Career Education Center.

Industry Advising Appointments
Explore a particular industry, discuss internship or job search strategies, and learn about recruiting processes and timelines in the following fields:

Clarify your career story, explore options, and develop a strategy for moving forward. Career counselors can talk with you about:

You can sign up in Handshake for a 30-minute practice behavioral interview with someone on our staff. You can also attend drop-ins to practice questions with a staff member or use Big Interview for on-demand practice and guidance. Our interviewing guide provides a helpful overview of the process.

Every year, we host hundreds of events, including career fairs, employer presentations, educational workshops, and more. Our events are open to graduate and undergraduate students unless stated otherwise due to employer request.

Alumni
Hoya Saxa! The Cawley Career Education Center provides a number of career development resources and programs to support alumni after they leave the Hilltop.
Undergraduate alumni who have graduated in the past three class years have access to one-on-one appointments with Cawley staff members. Each alumnae can schedule up to three appointments with a career exploration staff member and three appointments with an industry advisor in a calendar year. All appointments can be made on Handshake.
Alumni of all years are welcome to access jobs and to attend select career fairs, as they are available on Handshake. Undergraduate alumni of all years are also welcome to stop by our drop-in appointments for general questions or document reviews.
Additionally, Georgetown’s Alumni Career Services works to provide alumni with lifelong career development and networking opportunities at all stages of career development.
