Creative Fields: Late September Edition
September 17, 2021 – Upcoming Events, Opportunities & Resources
From Jacki Banks, Arts, Media & Communication Advisor:
Georgetown alumni are marvelous.
Whenever I need employer information or am looking for the skinny on what’s happening in an industry, I go to the wonderful alumni I’ve connected with over the years. They are always gracious and happy to help.
Of course, I made all these connections by – wait for it – NETWORKING.
If you have ever had an appointment with me, you know how much I love doing informational interviews and encourage you to do them, too. Done correctly, networking is a wonderful way to create – yes! – connections. And I promise you can do them in a way that is authentic and honors your personal style.
Throughout the semester, I will be interviewing these eight wonderful alumni. They work for Spotify, USA Today, Disney Animation, Wunderman Thompson, Christie’s, NBCUniversal/Peacock TV, The Pew Charitable Trusts and United Talent Agency. I invite you to join me and see what an informational interview looks like. You can even ask your own questions! Just go to Handshake, type in “alumni chat” in the events tab and register.
I hope to see you there.
Take care, Jacki
