January 10, 2023 – Upcoming Events, Opportunities & Resources

Welcome back from break, Hoyas! I hope you had time to read a book, listen to a podcast, and/or watch a TV series amidst seeing family and friends. I started watching the new seasons for Emily in Paris and White Lotus, and both are definitely keeping my attention.

We wrapped up the selection and application process for our micro-internship program at the end of year, however, there are national programs that provide ongoing micro-internships to students in case you find time in your schedule this Spring to gain experience with a short project. Short-term projects can also be a nice supplement to summer plans. Projects can be found at Forage and Parker Dewey. The organization, OpenAvenues, has created a specific page with STEM-related projects via Parker Dewey. Periodically check the sites as projects come and go. Right now, these projects are posted amongst others: Predict Adverse Events Risk Using Machine Learning Approach (with Healthcare Data Analytics Institute), Develop Gene Editing Strategies for Cellular Therapies (with Garuda Therapeutics), Label Medical Images Using Crowdsourcing & Statistics, and Conduct Market Research Analysis of Early-Stage Tech Startups (with Forta Health).

Appointments and drop-ins start back up today!  We were here when you are ready to dive back into school and career planning.

All the best,
