February 23, 2022 – Upcoming Events, Opportunities & Resources

Hello Hoyas!

Last week, the NHS Academic Council hosted a presentation with myself and Mary Beth Connell, pre-health advisor, to discuss summer opportunities. All NHS and non-NHS students interested in health and science careers would benefit from the resources shared in this talk. Example discussion topics include pre-med clinical opportunities, research programs, using to find volunteer opportunities, how to sort through 29k jobs on Handshake to find internships of interest, resume tips, and three students sharing their summer experiences. Click here to watch the presentation!

Pre-med students, I am a huge fan of The Savvy Pre-Med.  Be sure to sign up for their blog posts. The blog post from The Savvy Pre-Med below covers almost all questions related to shadowing clinicians. It’s a good one!  Also, RSVP for the upcoming Hoyas in Healthcare event showcasing clinical careers on March 15.

All the best,
