Government & Nonprofit Career EXPO 2018

Employer registration is now open. 

Date: Friday, February 16, 2018, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center Ballroom

Our spring career fair connects undergraduate and graduate students with employers from government and nonprofit organizations. Georgetown University’s Career Education Center hosts the Government and Nonprofit Expo in conjunction with the University of Virginia, the University of Richmond, New York University's Wasserman Center for Career Development and the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, the College of William and Mary, Swarthmore College, Duke University, Brown University, and Yale University. The Government and Nonprofit EXPO is only open to students and alumni of these schools. This event is not open to the general public.

The EXPO is one of many ways to connect with students in New England and the mid-Atlantic region. Whether you have vacancies to fill, want to collect resumes or simply build your brand, the career services staff from the above 9 universities are excited to connect you with their talented students and alumni. Last year, 900 undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni participated in this one-day event.

Registration

Register on Handshake. Once we approve your registration, you will receive an invoice with payment instructions. The last day to register for the fair is Friday, February 9, 2018


Expo Registration Packages

Type of Employer Standard Registration Fee
Nonprofit employers:  $300
Government employers:  $400
For-profit employers:  $700

Packages include:

  • one booth with a table measuring 6-feet-by-18 inches and table linens and two chairs
  • event registration for two employer representatives
  • two buffet breakfasts and two buffet lunches in Georgetown's faculty club
  • your organization's name listed in the EXPO program

Optional: additional employer representatives ($40 per representative), electricity ($25)


Cancellation Policy

The deadline to request a registration cancellation or refund is 5 p.m. on Friday, February 2nd, 2018. Please send your request to Jodi Schneiderman at jodi.schneiderman@georgetown.edu or call 202-687-3576. If you do not show up on the day of the EXPO, and your cancellation request was not received by the deadline, you will be responsible for paying the full registration fee. If you fail to pay in full, your organization will not be permitted to register for the next fair.


Shipping and Returning Materials

We recommend you ship all materials in advance of the Career Fair. Boxes may arrive at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center no earlier than three days prior to the event date. If your boxes arrive at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center before this time, they will be returned to sender due to limited storage capacity. 

After shipping your packages, please notify Jodi Schneiderman at Jodi.schneiderman@georgetown.edu with your employer name, the tracking number of your package, contact person, and the number of boxes you shipped.

To ship materials, your package shipping label should read:
